The COVID-19 pandemic continues to pose significant challenges and is likely to remain a concern for the next several months. Burnet County’s response to this hazard is an emerging, rapidly evolving situation. As a Burnet County department, our main concern is for the safety and well-being of our staff.
In an effort to adhere to the guidelines set by our Federal, State, and County officials and out of an abundance of caution, we are working as a skeletal crew and have encouraged all staff to work remotely from the safety of their homes if they choose to do so.

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Burnet County is prepared and ready to respond to this crisis. These actions are necessary to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, reduce the burden on our healthcare system, and provide researchers more time to learn about this virus and create strategies to combat and defeat it.
